Options for where to park & where to meet your guide

Trailheads & Meeting Points

There are many different trailheads around Tahoe, Mammoth, Mt Shasta and Lassen Peak that we use for Ski, Rock and Alpine Programs.

Your guide will specify where to meet. If unsure, always text or call your guide to confirm your meeting point. Please scroll below to see instructions for some of our most common meeting points and trailheads.

Lake Tahoe

Castle Peak

Castle Peak SnoPark is also known as Donner Summit SnoPark.

Parking Instructions:

  • Park on the South Side of Bunny Hill Road PAST the Woodward Tahoe Building.
  • You will need to purchase, print at home, and display on your dash a Sno Park Pass for parking each day: Click here to Purchase a Sno Park Pass
  • Meet your guide—fully geared up and ready—in the pull out across from the red bathroom shack.

Donner Ski Ranch

Parking Instructions:

  • Park in the Donner Ski Ranch Overflow Parking (Marked in Red) on the south side of Donner Pass Rd
  • Meet your guide—fully geared up and ready—by the blue star market on the map.

Donner Summit (Snowshed)

Parking Instructions:

  • Park in the Donner Pass Rd Parking Space
  • Meet your guide—fully geared up and ready—by the blue star market on the map.

Johnson Canyon

Parking Instructions:

  • Park on Billy Mark Rd in the designated Parking Area
  • Meet your guide—fully geared up and ready—by the blue star market on the map.

Mt Rose - Tamarack

Parking Instructions:

  • Park in the parking area marked in red on the East side of Mt Rose Hwy
  • Meet your guide—fully geared up and ready—by the blue star market on the map.

Mammoth - Black Velvet Coffee

We use many different trailheads around Mammoth for our programs.  Your guide will decide which trailhead to use based on snow conditions the morning of your program. 

Parking Instructions:

  • Park and meet your guide at Black Velvet Coffee. Arrive early and grab a cup for yourself!
  • Your group can carpool or caravan to your chosen trailhead

Mt Shasta - Shastice Park

Most of our Mt Shasta programs, especially multiday, involve a gear check with your guide to ensure you have everything you need. Shastice Park is a great spot to do this.. 

Parking Instructions:

  • Park in the parking lot next to the Mt Shasta Skate Park
  • Meet your guide by the blue star marker on the map
