Gran Paradiso 4,061m

Blackbird Mountain Guides reached the true summit of 4,061 meter Gran Paradiso this week.  This popular summit is often climbed to the more dramatic and via ferrata equipped "Madonna summit", rather than the true summit due to how busy it is.  We rose early to beat the rush and were able to tag both summits before the throng of climbers made it to the highest points in Italy.

Here are some of our favorite shots from our most recent summit of Gran Paradiso.

Gran Paradiso with Blackbird Mountain Guides

Our IFMGA guides know all about the best approaches to climbing Gran Paradiso and our office team will sort out all of the logistics for you! From trains, cable cars and buses to hut bookings, start times and hazards on the route, our team will make sure everything runs as smoothly as it can on the mountain.

Climbing Gran Paradiso is an excellent objective in its own right but is also the perfect way to acclimiatize for Mont Blanc.  This climb, combined with a couple other days of Private Climbing in the alps with our guides will set you up to perform your best on Mont Blanc or other 4,000m peaks.  Building a relationship with your guide is also important as it will help him or her to understand your strengths and weaknesses and optimize objectives, routes and coaching to your needs.

Book ahead - Huts Sell Out extremely quickly and our guide team has limited availability!  The best chance of success is to book a full year in advance to get the optimal times for hut reservations in the prime climbing season.
